Great event on the Gilberdyke / Howden course last night. Warm but windy conditions saw the potential of the course begin to show despite several “fast” riders opting out. Young Joe Laverick of Cyclism set new course Junior and Senior best performances with the first sub 20 minute ride. Fiona Sharp of Team Swift topped the ladies field with a new ladies best.
Many thanks to all the usual Club members who once again turned out to ensure the safe and efficient running of yet another Ciry Road Club event after also being out doing the same at last nights Club event! Without these folks there would be no events, either Club or Open. We need more help from those who just ride if we are to continue putting on events ( road race, time trial, Cyclo cross, reliability rides and Club runs) of the quality we do.
We have two more Open events left this year. July 11th on the V714 and our Grand Prix Two up on September 23rd. If you are not riding then please step up and do your bit for the Club.
