Busy but mixed week.

image Quite a bit of activity this week with mixed results. Tuesday club event on SKIDBY saw a great ride from Alex Russell take the scalps of Adam Jordan, Leven Lad Carrigan and Jase Young. Well done Alex. Wednesdays activities moved to our Open promotion on the V718 where early rain eased to enable  another fine City Road  Club promotion to take place. MANY THANKS TO...Read More »

Yorkshire round of the GHS.

Yorkshire round of the GHS. For most this was a weekend to forget with disappointing results but for Harry Nolan it proved otherwise. Harry, in his first season of testing, was our only school age rider in the Yorkshire round of the prestigious GHS competition. The event was held on the V211 course more recognised as a SPOCO than a fast course. Harry was the second youngest in the field...Read More »

Winner, Andy Jackson, setting new personal figures of 18.18 to beat his best set a few weeks ago when the Swifties set new team comp figures in the event. CRC had a good representation with Stormin Norman G coming out top with 21.35 just ahead of Foston Flyer, Dave H, with...Read More »

a & f Collinson handicap ten. Last nights ten on the V711, Lund course, saw a good field of twenty riders assemble in excellent conditions to contest the Collinson handicap trophy. Wet,wet, wet!

Wet,wet, wet! What a weekend! Still it Wimbledon fortnight so got to rain. Andy V should have taken a canoe to the VTTA 25 champs on the E2/25 on Saturday which had to be abandoned due to torrential rain and flooding on the course. Ironically not a million miles away the BDCA 100 event on the A50/6 went ahead with three riders going under 1.40.00! The winner,...Read More »

cycling legend on the V.

cycling legend on the V. Last nights event on the Greater V was graced with the presence of T de F yellow jersey holder and cycling legend Sean Yates. Sean is, allegedly, looking to get an entry time for the National 10 Championship on the course later in the year. His time of 21.26 put him in the top half dozen but may not be fast enough for the big...Read More »

sack the reporter.

sack the reporter. First of all apologies to Norman G, Jason Y and Dave H! Total mess up with fastest club 25 time of the season. After much research it now appears that the 'Foston  Flyer' Dave Hudson  with a time of 56.20 set Easter weekend holds the lead. Sorry Dave. Last nights 25 on Ticton produced some good times with Leven Lad, Steve Carrigan, coming out top...Read More »

chasing 25s

chasing 25s First decent weekend for a while saw several riders out chasing fast 25 times. Best of the weekend was Stormin Norman Griffin who travelled to the Walsall event on Etwall (A25/11)  and produced the fastest Club time of the season so far with  56.43. Looks like he has got his wheel issue sorted! Winning ride was from Matt Botterill with 47.02 showing good form for...Read More »
