Do you recognise these club members?

image We are rapidly approaching the date that City Road Club Hull was founded and 2016 will be our 50th Anniversary year. As a bit of fun and to stir memories of the foundation years here are a couple of group shots to enjoy. As far as I know the top one is the earliest Betty has and is the Clubs first members. Sunday (14th) group ride.

Sunday (14th) group ride. The planned ride over the "ditch" into Lincolnshire has had to be dropped due to the Humber Bridge Sportive! 500 riders are scheduled to take part on the roads we were planning to ride. Ken and John felt it prudent to, yet again, re-schedule the ride. A ride will still take place. MEET AT COTTINGHAM GREEN FOR 09.05 FOR A RIDE ON THE NORTH BANK.

Great day for peter Taylor memorial race.

image Warm and windy conditions greeted the near 50 riders who took to our annual road race held on the Little Weighton Circuit. The early pace, according to race judge, Dave Lambert, was more touring then racing! But from lap three riders started to work for breaks and the pace ramped up. Combined with the persistent wind the bunch was stringing out but soon regrouped as...Read More »

Missing race numbers.

Missing race numbers. Could any riders, club or guest, who have ridden our Tuesday evening events recently please check their kit bags / cars as three numbers have gone walkabout! Numbers 25 / 28 and 60 are missing. It is an expensive job to replace them individually or get another full set so their return would be appreciated. No reward just a happy secretary!

Eeer Wiggo!

image A few shots from the event on May 16 th. What a day for the area and City Road Club Hull. A totally free chance to see this icon of British cycling brought bigger crowds than some of Hull City games, well at least next seasons! Hi Guys,

For anyone who missed out on the email, Final options for the next years trip below:

Option 1 - 8 nights (Wed 27-Apr to Thurs 05-May-16) from Leeds/Bradford airport staying at the Fergus Style Pollensa Park Hotel (half board). This will be approx. £470 per person (based on 2 people sharing)

Option 2 - 10 nights (Wed 27-Apr to Sat 07-May-16) from Leeds/Bradford airport staying at the Fergus Style Pollensa Park Hotel (half board). This will be approx. £580 per person (based on 2 people sharing).

This includes a baggage allowance of 20 Kg (plus carry on hand luggage of 10kg ). If you take your own bike the flight costs for the bike will be approx. £70. I am looking at bike transport options with Dan B and will firm these up when we have definite numbers.

These prices are always approximate as they do vary a little depending on the time of the booking but this should give you a good estimate at this stage so you can decide which option you would prefer. Ill double check with the Travel Agent that there are no hidden extra costs but, if there are, they are likely to be pretty small. I will also check what deposit will be needed from each person and this will need to be paid when the booking is made.

Now you have the above information please let me know ASAP (next couple of weeks at the latest )whether you are definitely going so that we can finalise the numbers and sort the options for bike transport with Dan.

Also, if you are not taking your own bike and would like me and Mike to try to rent one for you from Pro Cycle Hire, please check on their website and let me know which bike you would like and what size.

Last thing to mention is that if you are thinking of doing the 312 please make sure that you register and pay online on November 1st to void disappointment :)

Hasta la wego compadres :)
