Great trip to Manchester Velodrome to watch the Paracycling International. Imagine our surprise to not only see Adam Duggleby and partner Steve Bate take the 4000m Tandem pursuits ( visual impaired) but also Nick Fairfield mixing it with seasoned International in the C4 pursuit.
Nick qualified 4th from the heats and thus made it to the Bronze medal ride. Unfortunately, against a rider significantly younger and receiving support from his federation, Nick struggled to stay away and was caught before the finish.
Nicks qualifying time was a ph by over 6 seconds and to get a medal ride was a real bonus. Well done Nick.
