Accredited Marshalls

The Peter Taylor Memorial Road Race, the clubs annual road race on the 14th June 2020, is to be run with Accredited Marshalls (AM) in place. Accredited Marshalls have legal powers to control traffic to enable the race convoy to pass through. We already have three members in the club who are Accredited Marshalls but we need more. If you are interested in becoming an Accredited Marshall British Cycling are planning on running a course in the local area to provide the necessary training. Please let Nick Fairfield know if you are interested. Also spread the word to other local clubs/organisations who are planning on running road races in the future. As of 01/07/2020 only road races which have AM’s or a TRO in place will be allowed to be run so the more AM’s we have in the area the better.
