Tour of Yorkshire
On the 19th and 20th of July James M and Steve C will be taking part in the Tour of Yorkshire, a 2 stage event covering 180 miles across the Moors and the Wolds. They will be collecting on behalf NSPCC. Anyone wanting to make a donation should PM James.July 11, 2014 by Nicholas Fairfield.

Last nights ten on the V711, Lund course, saw a good field of twenty riders assemble in excellent conditions to contest the Collinson handicap trophy. What a weekend! Still it Wimbledon fortnight so got to rain. Andy V should have taken a canoe to the VTTA 25 champs on the E2/25 on Saturday which had to be abandoned due to torrential rain and flooding on the course. First decent weekend for a while saw several riders out chasing fast 25 times. Best of the weekend was Stormin Norman Griffin who travelled to the Walsall event on Etwall (A25/11) and produced the fastest Club time of the season so far with 56.43. Weekend 14th/15th June.
Main event of the weekend was the Pete Taylor Memorial RR on the Little Weighton course. Variable weather once again hit weekend events and also CRC Open last night. Over the weekend Steve Carrigan rode the East Bradford 15 on the V221 finishing 8th in 34.36 whilst Andy Vaughan went chasing fast time in the Shaftsbury MM 25 a little further south. Non-members and novices always welcome. We strongly recommend the wearing of safety helmets on our club rides (for the safety of all riders). Meet at Cottingham Green opposite Sainsburys at 9am (unless otherwise stated). Normally two groups. The steady group will ride to the pace of the slower rider. We usually get to café about 11.15.
