A good many riders will be regretting the fact that they failed to start in round 2 of the Team Swift 10 League last night with what appeared to be poor conditions changing to some of the fastest seen on the course.
Mike Williams, the event organiser, will be grinning from ear to ear as , for the fourth time in two years, the team comp record has been smashed in the league.
Andy Jackson [18.37[, Jon Surtees [18.42] and Joel Wainman[18.57] combined to establish the new figures. Jon Surtees’ time was also a National Age record and a National Combined Services Record!
Five of our own members were competing and produced the following figures: Norman G [21.23], Andy V [22.23], Tony W [23.10], Mark P [23.11] and Gary B [25.01].
