HILL CLIMB CHAMPIONSHIP 2017.
Conditions were perfect for our final Club events of the season which clearly encouraged a good field of twelve riders and many spectators to the ascents of Spout Hill and Brantingham Dale Road.
Darren Yarwood [Beverley Velo] took overall victory by 14 seconds by Club Junior, Joe Faichney, who takes the C;lub Championship Trophy for 2017.

Following on from the climbs the group rode on to Gilberdyke Garden Centre for lunch contesting the FREEWHEELING event en route. This highly sought after crown this year went to John Quigley whose season long training campaign [eating well and often!] and use of the Froome decending style saw him win the massive financial prize pot thus ensuring he had an even bigger lunch than normal!
