Those who have been in the Club for a good many years will undoubtedly
know the next family in focus. This time it's Clan McLeavy.
The late Peter was a founder member and, along with his wife Lorrain,
gave much support to CRC and local cycling.
Pete was well know as a Timekeeper and was the first 'A' Grade
timekeeper in the Club spending many hours on the roadside ensuring
accurate results at the end of races both club and open.
Not content with simply using his skills in that area he was
responsible for the training and upgrading of two of the best known
watch officials in the CTT with Betty P and Richard Foster!

Peters involvement in cycling ran alongside that of son Mike who made
a real mark at both local and national level prior to 'retirement' as
career and family commitments became more important.
A return to competitive cycling / triathlon in recent years, possibly
encouraged by the interest his son David, has seen both Mike and Dave
sign up for CRC making that another family with three generations on
the books!
It has been interesting to watch the family rivalry build as both got
to grips with TT'ing again and I am sure that after Dave winning his
grandads trophy and Mike the Freewheeling competition last season both
will be up for the challenge this year.
