For those who are familiar with club officials and helpers as well as riders the second family in focus is the Brearley Bunch!
Top men at the turns of our events are usually Paul and Derek who can be relied on to help us navigate safely and correctly the roundabout turns - usually assisted by Pauls 'Big Flasher!' Paul also enjoys the lead car roll in local roadraces whilst Derek is head board man at the Open TT's.

Gary is often seen testing his legs in Club events although he enjoys more of a supporting roll for his two sons these days. Garys' claim to fame is holding 'Hutch' off for a couple of miles in our Open 10 on the
V718 last year! He wasn't sure if it was Hutch who passed him as he disappeared so quickly!!!!!!
Dereks' wife Evelyn is frequently seen at our opens sorting out that vital roll of Refreshment Supremo - where would we be without these essential helpers?
To the second generation.
Paul has two sons who are both involved in cycling but not within the club whilst Garys' two boys David and John have both become very capable riders in their own right.

Both rode for many years as first claim CRC members but are now with Cott Coureurs and Scunthorpe Poly respectively pursuing interests in Road Racing and Track events.
Derek and Evelyns' daughters Sarah and Laura are both keen members of the Club and frequently ride as well as help out at our Open events - for several years they were the mainstay of the ladies side of our club racers.

And so to generation three.
Although not a full member, Lauras' son Joseph has taken the roll of Honourary Junior member! Still riding four wheels with power provided by mum, grandparents and Aunty Sarah. A few years to go but I'm sure Joseph will progress to two wheels in the future.
As a family the Brearley Bunch continue to give much to the Club and thus ensure that many of the tasks we, as riders, take for granted are completed as they contribute to many enjoyable and successful events.
