Its over 40 years since CRC [ Hull ] was formed and in that time a number of families have had several generations involved in th Club.

The most obvious is that of our founders Betty and the late Ron. They are now into generation three.
Betty, of course, is still our much loved and respected leader.

SECOND generation is Mark who was with the Club when it was founded.
Mark was joined by his wife Jean [ ne Littlefair], no mean cyclist herself, who still holds some ladies and tandem records within the Club.

The result of that marriage is the THIRD generation of Philipsons with David and Sarah. Both have been involved in cycling with their parents and Grandparents from an early age, particularly on the tandem, and frequently rode our Gents Grand Prix Two Up at the end of the season.
Both hold tandem records with their parents.

Both David and Sarah are very capable swimmers and are well know throughout the county but this last season David has started to try the Triathlon , with great success, and as a result also got the cycling bug. Judging from performances over the 2009 season he is going to be one to watch in club events as his swimming and cycling training start to show results. Watch out Dad you have got some family rivalry to deal with this year.
