Yesterdays Wolds RC event on the V718 finally saw this super fast course yield the 10 comp record to Michael Hutchinson.
Conditions were described as not ideal with a swirling cross wind but even so some fine rides were produced.
New comp record of 17.57 for Hutch and a new Juv / Schoolboy record to 15 year old Ryan Mullen of 19.14. Julia Shaw won the Ladies event with 20.13. Richard Handley finished 2nd in the mens with 18.53.
Closer to home our own riders had some great rides. Jason, not fully over his illness from early in the week, got close to his target with 20.09. Steve Carrigan just missed a 20 with 21.01 [pb]. Cervello Man, Nic, shot to a great 22.11 [pb] with Mark P close behind with 22.14 [pb]. Lesley P, getting back to form, finished in 28.39 [pb].
Club ride of the day must, however, be credited to David Philipson who has got to be pleased with a new pb of 22.44. Well done David.
With two open events still to go on this course what could we expect if conditions are fully favourable for riders?
Get your entries in for the Bridlington event and Mike Williams Charity event. Both should be possible to get a ride in with the format they are being run under.
A litle further from home Andy Vaughan travelled to the Adept Precission T course event and finished with 71.34.
