You know what I mean - nothing for a while then several all at once!
Well that's what it was like in Saturdays YCF 30 mtt on the V240.

Yet again this course was blessed with a very hard cross wind for most of its length and a full on 'block head' at the turn and for 3 miles towards the finish which did much to reduce some good times.

Once again Autumnal weather was more in evidence than that of late summer and it had its effect on performances.

Over the course of the season several new members have joined the Club. One of these Mick McLeavy was among the founder members some 40 odd years ago! Mick, still as keen as ever, brought his son David along to help back up his triathlon training. Understandably there has been a little'friendly competition' between the two in the events they have ridden.

Saturday 8th sees Bridlington CC promote a 10mtt on the V718 which has attracted some class riders from Yorkshire DC along with the 'Return of the Hutch!'

This looks like the last chance for 'lesser mortals' this season as the Team Swift event in a couple of weeks is reported to have attracted a 'class field' due to it being fully open and on a weekend!
