CRC / CLIFF PRATT SPRING CYCLO CROSS.

imageimageSaturday saw the final round of the Spring Cyclo Cross four race series this time in daylight! The first three events were very well supported but clearly the clash with early season time trials, road races and mountain bike events reduced the field a little for the final round.

Overall the senior series was won by Crosstrax rider Tom Ramsay with Cliff Pratt Cycles Tom England in second spot. Peter Fielding- Smith took third spot and also overall vets award. Ladies award went to Sharon Tummons.

Youth award was won by Ben Waite with Finlay Pickering taking the U12 award.

Special mention to Andy Faichney  and Paul Brearley for their organisation and to all those who made very valuable contributions to the running of this highly successful and enjoyable series.

Thanks to Les Phillips for his shots of Faich and series winner, TOM RAMSAY.

Padded Bike Bags

In addition to the fleet of hard boxes I now have, I have also acquired 3 new padded bags (Thank you Ken Hudson), similar to the one pictured. These are available to City Road Club Members exclusively at £10 per hire and are ideal for using with Car or Train Travel. Perfect for travelling to a "there and back" event.

These are not suitable for taking a bike of an Aeroplane
For obvious reasons , I'd exclude CX bikes too :-D

Where did Club run end up today? Chris and Sam dragged me out to Mr Moos and only cyclists were Jamie Adams dad and his mate!
At least it was quiet and food prepared and served quickly! 😜

POSSIBLE BAN ON BIKES USING THE A63 AND ASSOCIATED SLIP ROADS.
You may be aware by now that Highways England supported by HCC, ERCC and the Police are seeking to have cycling banned from the A63 at Newport up to the Daltry Street interchange!
Paul Kilvington has posted details on the HTRC Facebook page and this has already received many responses.
Rather than duplicate this on our pages I suggest anyone interest / concerned visit their pages.
This is not just about time trials but cycling per se!
